Jan Oblak (born 7 January 1993) is a Slovenian football goalkeeper member of Sport Lisboa e Benfica currently playing at União Leiria in the Portuguese first division.

Born in the Upper Carniolan town of Škofja Loka, Oblak started his career in his hometown, playing for NK Ločan. Later, he was spotted by Olimpija Ljubljana and transferred there at the age of 10. In 2009, he rejected a contract from Empoli for trials at Fulham.[1] He eventually rejected a move to the club, however, after the trials and committed his future to Olimpija and even signed a contract extension until 2011.[2]
On 1 January 2010, it was revealed he was a target for Liverpool, and had visited Anfield in a 2–1 defeat to Arsenal in December. Aston Villa and Sport Lisboa e Benfica were also tracking him.
On 14 June 2010, the Slovenian goalie signed a contract for Benfica and left his club of Olimpija.[3]

Oblak was first capped in Slovenia under-21 in August 2009 to replace injured Jan Koprivec. He made his debut on 9 June 2009 against France.
